The Mississippi River

The Mississippi River in northwest Illinois. Across the river from this point is the state of Iowa. Of course, one cannot actually see the state from the angle of this photograph. For the trees shown is an island. May I also note that the water you see before is only a side channel of the river, the main channel is beyond those trees.
